Los Angeles-based Denmead Marketing has launched a TV division to handle its growing number of small screen clients, and the boutique praisery has hired Alyson Dewar as its first dedicated TV publicist.
Denmead Television’s initial set of clients includes Columbia TriStar International Television, CLT-UFA Intl., the television activities of Canada’s Lions Gate Entertainment and Lakeshore Entertainment (at TV markets).
Denmead already handles international publicity for the feature film arms of Lions Gate and CLT-UFA.
Denmead TV also will be repping Canada’s Portfolio Entertainment and U.K.’s Pilot Prods.
Dewar, who becomes director of publicity at Denmead, will work with Denmead VP Maxine Leonard, who will continue to oversee all film and TV publicity for the company.
Dewar will report to Denmead president Nikki Parker.
Dewar comes to Denmead from PMK. Prior to that, she worked for Twentieth Century Fox’s international pay-TV division, and subsequently for Fox Video Intl.
