Cabler's cash flow, subscribers rise

Cox Communications Inc.’s net loss trebled to $102 million in the first quarter, it said Thursday, on 9% higher revenues of $415.7 million.

But the cabler’s operating cash flow — earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization — rose 7% to $149.1 million. Adjusted for acquisitions, Cox’s subscriber count rose 2.5% in the quarter to 3.2 million.
