Showtime programming chief Jerry Offsay, producer Tom Werner of the Carsey-Werner Co. and NBC TV Stations prexy Scott Sassa are among the executives skedded to participate in the “First Annual International Conference on the Global Television Marketplace: Challenges, Opportunities, Strategies” planned for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the BevHilton in Beverly Hills.
Program, moderated by CAA senior agent David Tenzer, is also expected to include guest speakers Phil Kent (prexy of Turner Broadcasting Systems International), Rod Perth (prez of entertainment for USA Networks Inc.), Dean Valentine (prez and CEO of UPN), Peter Sussman (prexy for Atlantis Films), Bob Sanitsky (prez of Polygram TV), Bruce Johansen (prexy and COO for NATPE) and Betsy Frank (exec VP research and development for MTV Networks).
UCLA Extension is sponsoring the event, which will find the execs discussing both emerging and established markets in the global TV arena while assessing distribution, program delivery and future trends.
