Time, CBS turn clocks toward millennium

Time magazine and CBS News today will unveil a broad multiyear partnership to produce programming related to the coming millennium. Time, whose usual TV ties are with corporate sibling Cable News Network, is expected to detail plans for a series of network specials and collaboration on editorial features about events relating to the turn of the century over the next four years. Rival Newsweek since January has run a weekly feature entitled “The Millennium Notebook,” but that project has no television counterpart.
