Filmmaking brothers Jonas and Joshua Pate have inked a deal with Sandollar Entertainment and Touch-stone TV to develop their first project for the small screen: a one-hour drama pilot described as a “supernatural thriller.”
Both Sandollar and Touchstone confirmed the deal on Monday. No network is yet attached.
The Pate brothers are best known for having written and directed “The Grave,” an indie film that played at the Sundance Film Festival.
They also wrote and directed the forthcoming MGM release “Deceiver,” starring Tim Roth, Renee Zellweger, Ellen Burstyn, Chris Penn, Michael Rooker and Rosanna Ar-quette. Also, the Pates currently are developing a sci-fi feature project for Interscope Communications titled “Earl Watt.”
Sandollar co-prexys Abby Wolf and Scott Immergut will executive produce the TV drama project.
