Paramount Domestic TV has tapped Joachim Blunck as executive producer of its upcoming syndie talkshow with Howie Mandel.
Par says the talk/variety strip has been cleared for a June 1998 debut on TV stations covering more than 75% of U.S. TV households.
Blunck comes to Par after a 13-year stint with Fox Inc. He most recently served as executive VP of program-ming and production for Twentieth Television, where he helped create and manage the production of Fox Broad-casting Co.’s morning show “Fox After Breakfast,” among other pro-grams for network, syndication and cable.
From 1990-93, Blunck was exec producer of “Good Day New York,” a live local morning show on Fox O&O WNYW. He also was a co-creator and producer of the syndie tabmag “A Current Affair” and Fox’s primetime newsmag “The Reporters.”
