BUENOS AIRES — Argentina’s largest MSO, Multicanal, has acquired yet another 70,000 subs in the province of Buenos Aires as part of the expansion project that the Clarin-owned cabler had been pursuing since last year. That expansion involves not only Argentina but also Paraguay and Uruguay.

The acquisition of Rio de la Plata Cable Color cost $83.5 million and brings Multicanal up to 1.3 million subs, including the minority shares the MSO has in the provinces.
