Twentieth TV’s “Access Hollywood” was downgraded on a seventh Fox-owned station, in Cleveland, the 13th largest market.
The show is moving from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on WJW. In its place the station is plugging in Warner Bros.’ “Extra,” which is moving from 3:30 a.m. on WOIO. Six other Fox stations downgraded the show over the past two weeks, and a change in St. Louis is still possible.
“Access” has remained in place on Fox stations in Detroit and Milwaukee, where it may be performing well enough that Fox doesn’t have the right to move it. Sources say Fox wants all its stations to go with a sitcom strategy in access, and it’s unclear whether Fox’s partner on “Access,” NBC, plans to do so.
In May, “Access” rated a 3.7/7 on WJW, off 53% from its news lead-in and 39% from the timeslot performance a year ago with “America’s Most Wanted: Final Justice.”
