Penelope Levey has been named senior VP of media and talent relations at UPN.
Reporting to Lucie Salhany, president and CEO of UPN, Levey will oversee all corporate press and public relations as well as talent relations for the network. She replaces Kevin Brockman, who is now VP of media relations at ABC.
Levey joins the company from New World Entertainment, which was purchased by News Corp. in January. At New World, Levey was VP of media relations, responsible for publicity on all network and syndicated series.
Before New World, Levey served as vice president of publicity, advertising and promotion at Stephen J. Cannell Prods. She also was the company spokeswoman, a position she continued in after Cannell’s company was bought by New World.
Levey also previously worked as VP of publicity for Warner Bros. Television, where she oversaw publicity for “Murphy Brown,” and for Walt Disney Television, ABC and Twentieth TV.
