Schklair ankles Digital Domain

Steve Schklair, VP and G.M. of Digital Domain New Media, has ankled his post effective immediately.

Schklair oversaw the department through development of “Barbie Fashion Designer” for Mattel Media, the No. 1 entertainment CD-ROM last month, according to PC Data.

Schklair told Daily Variety he exited because of “business and creative differences. I couldn’t make the business work in the manner they felt it should be done. You can’t say either side is right on that.”

A company spokesman said, “We wish Steve well.” The spokesman added that the “Barbie” project had been in house prior to Schklair’s appointment there.

Schklair said he is evaluating offers.
