Talkshow high-priestess Rosie O’Donnell has been tabbed to host Nickelodeon’s 10th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards being telecast April 19 from the specially-constructed Nick-O-Drome at the site of the Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles. It will air live on the kids cablenet.
O’Donnell replaces Whitney Houston, who hosted the awards show the past two years.
The Kids’ Choice Awards are chosen by kids who write in or call the network with votes for their favorites in 16 movie, TV, music and sports categories. Nickelodeon says that some 23 million votes were tabulated last year.
