Oscar watch

Mira Sorvino will join Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences president Arthur Hiller in announcing the 1996 Oscar nominations Tuesday morning. The announcement takes place at 5:38 a.m. at the Academy’s Beverly Hills headquarters.

Sorvino, who last year won the supporting actress Oscar for her role in “Mighty Aphrodite,” also will be a presenter at the 69th Academy Awards.
