NEW YORK — Nickelodeon has signed a batch of celebrities to perform at the 10th annual Kids’ Choice Awards, including Will Smith, Cindy Crawford, Damon Wayans, Jean Claude Van Damme, Teri Hatcher, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Martin Short, Tom Arnold and Patrick Stewart. The host is Rosie O’Donnell.

The awards show, to be cablecast live on Nickelodeon from the 6,000-seat Grand Olympic Auditorium beginning at 5 p.m. April 19, will also feature such musical performers as Coolio, Jewel, Immature and Savage Garden.

In the key categories from which kids will pick the winner, the nominees for “favorite” movie actor are Jim Carrey, Tom Cruise, Will Smith and Robin Williams. The four finalists for favorite movie actress are Whoopi Goldberg, Whitney Houston, Rosie O’Donnell and Michelle Pfeiffer. “Happy Gilmore,” “Independence Day,” “The Nutty Professor” and “Twister” are the favorite movies.

The favorite TV actors are Tim Allen, Michael J. Fox, LL Cool J and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. The TV actresses who made the cut are Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Tia & Tamara Mowry and Roseanne. “All That,” “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “Goosebumps” and “Home Improvement” are the favorite TV shows.

Other celeb participants in the event include Patricia Richardson, skater Tara Lipinski, gymnast Shannon Miller, Tyra Banks, Ben Savage, Melissa Joan Hart and Matthew Lawrence.
