NEW YORK — Stephen Gallagher has been named program director of the Hamptons Intl. Film Festival, following the departure of Sam Maser, who resigned to pursue other interests.
Gallagher worked closely with Maser as associate program director. In addition to programming, Gallagher will collaborate with executive director Ken Tabachnick to build the year-round operations of the Hamptons fest.
Prior to joining the festival, Gallagher served as managing editor of Filmmaker magazine. He was also executive producer for the documentary “Predictions of Fire” and the feature “Latin Boys Go to Hell.”
There is a July 25 deadline for submissions for this year’s Hamptons Intl. Film Festival, which will be held in mid-October in East Hampton, N.Y. For further information, contact Gallagher at (516) 324-4600.
