Eastman Kodak has upped Gil Gagnon to VP, head of production, at its Cinesite digital production subsidiary. He previously was production manager, where he worked on Cinesite projects including “Space Jam,” “Waterworld” and “Jerry Maguire.”
Kodak said one of Gagnon’s top priorities is recruiting talent to Cinesite. The company said it expects to announce several new appointments soon. Cinesite currently has more than 150 staffers.
Gagnon’s appointment comes nearly five months after previous production VP Mitzi Gallagher exited Cinesite along with several other top execs, including Cinesite president Ed Jones.
Kodak named Aidan Foley Cinesite president immediately following Jones’ exit. In his new post, Gagnon reports directly to Foley.
Visual effects films currently in production at Cinesite include “Air Force One,” “Batman and Robin” and “Sphere.”
