Roger Corman’s Concorde-New Horizons has upped Brian O’Shea from director of legal and business affairs to VP of worldwide distribution.
In his new role, O’Shea will manage the international sales division, overseeing all of the company’s sales in the international marketplace, as well as negotiating and drafting domestic and international license agreements.
O’Shea replaces Pamela Abraham, who recently ankled her post as senior VP of worldwide distribution at Concorde to hang her own shingle for Callisto Entertainment, an international film and TV distribution company.
Before joining Concorde as director of business and legal affairs in January 1995, O’Shea worked in Washington, D.C., in the legal departments of the Recording Industry Assn. of America and the Motion Picture Assn. of America.
A financial consortium led by producer Elliott Kastner recently struck a deal to purchase Concorde-New Horizons for $100 million.
