Lillian Wurtzel Semenov

Lillian Wurtzel Semenov, the daughter of Sol Wurtzel, one of 20th Century Fox’s original producers and executive in charge of Fox Film Co. from 1917-34, died Sunday of unreported causes at her home in West Los Angeles. She was 84.

During the late 1930s, she joined the story department at Fox, where she worked for several years. Meanwhile, her father served as executive producer at Fox from 1935 until 1950. Sol Wurtzel died in 1958.

She is survived by a daughter, Debora Semenov Rosen, a brother, Paul Wurtzel, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Hillside Memorial Park Chapel
