Bruce D. Garen Jr.

Bruce D. Garen Jr., former director of sales for RCA/Columbia Pictures Home Video, died July 14 of complications resulting from AIDS. He was 39.

Garen began his career in the entertainment business as controller for Columbia Pictures Home Entertainment.

He subsequently became director of sales for RCA/Columbia Pictures Home Video, the corporate predecessor of Columbia TriStar Home Video.

Prior to his death, he was VP of sales for Ericksen Basloe West Advertising.

Garen is survived by his mother, Niki, and a brother.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to AIDS Project Los Angeles or the 6th floor AIDS wing at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A.
