Bernie Hern

Bernie Hern, a former New York actor who later moved to Palo Alto and became a successful art consultant, died Nov. 2 of Parkinson’s disease in Palo Alto. He was 82.

Hern, who served as a consultant to firms in the Silicon Valley and also operated an art gallery, had a recurring role on “L.A. Law” and also appeared in “When Harry Met Sally… ”

There were no survivors.

Donations in Hern’s name may be made to the Parkinson’s Institute, 1170 Morse Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94089, Attn: Chief of Clinical Research, Dr. Tanner, Attn: Mary McClure.
