Chris Adelmann has been upped to exec vice president of Warner Bros. Intl. Theaters, and will be responsible for all aspects of the development, establishment and operations of WB’s exhibition venues in overseas territories.
Adelmann, who joined Warners in 1996 as senior VP at the international theater division, will also work to emphasize development of strategic partnerships with a broad spectrum of partners to expand the reach and influence of WB as a cinema exhibitor overseas.
“We have seen our division flourish in recent months,” said Millard L. Ochs, president of WB Intl. Theaters. “We are adding screens and territories at a very healthy pace, and Chris has been a key ingredient in our success.”
Adelmann previously served as director of worldwide development for Hard Rock Cafe Intl. Inc. Other positions include assistant vice president at Bankers Trust’s London Global Merchant Banking Group; management consultant based in Luxembourg for Johannesson & Associates, a Swedish media and telecommunications consultancy; and manager of the corporate development group and later director of corporate finance at Lorimar-Telepictures.
Adelmann began his career as a film and television music composer, for which he received an Emmy nomination.
