Swing lists powerful young set

Swing, the tragically hip lifestyle magazine for the twentysomething set, hits the stands Tuesday with its third annual “30 under 30” power list.

The mag has some odd and obvious picks in its “Hollywood” category. Natch, a nod went to 29-year-old “X-Files” star Gillian Anderson: “Playing an intelligent woman on TV is a rare thing,” says Swing editor-in-chief David Lauren, son of fashion designer Ralph Lauren.

Also noted were box office champ Will Smith, 28, and “Clerks” helmer Kevin Smith, 27, whose cinematic takes on Gen-X angst have become “what Oliver Stone’s movies are to his generation,” Lauren said.

The youngest of the lot is 22-year-old Debbie Matenopoulos, one of four co-hosts of Barbara Walters’ new ABC daytime show “The View.” Survey says: “She was hand-picked by Barbara to represent our generation on the show,” Lauren said.
