Veronika Kwan-Rubinek has been promoted to senior vice president of Warner Bros. International Theatrical Distribution, moving up from her former position as vice president in the same division.
In the new post, Kwan-Rubinek will serve as senior adjunct to Edward Frumkes, Warner Bros. President of Intl. Theatrical Distribution, in sales and distribution matters, such as exhibitor relations, international trade laws, film and video piracy and marketing issues.
She will continue to supervise the international sales division, which tracks information on international releases, such as box office revenue and advertising and print costs. She also will work with regional supervisors and the marketing group in planning the release and marketing of pictures around the world.
Frumkes, in a statement, said that Kwan-Rubinek has been “exceptional in her understanding of the implications of economic, cultural and business factors in our territories, and has been instrumental in helping us reach the success that we currently enjoy.”
Kwan-Rubinek has been VP of International Theatrical Distribution since 1995. Before that, she was director of international operations, manager of international sales and senior sales analyst. She joined the studio as a sales analyst trainee. She also has worked as a consultant for the German American Chamber of Commerce.
She will continue to be based in Burbank.
