Slamdance nods to scribes

Slamdance Film Festival officials have announced winners of their 2nd Annual Screenplay Competition. The awards will be presented at the Slamdance fest in Park City, Utah on Jan. 20, 1998.

First-place winners are Christine DeSmet, Peggy Williams and Robert Shill for “Chinaware-Fragile.” Second place will be awarded to Mark Douglas for “The Boxer” and third place will be presented to Nancy Raven Smith for “The Counterfeit Confederate.”

Slamdance is skedded from Jan. 16 through Jan. 23.
