It had to be Henstridge in indie pic

Natasha Henstridge (“Species”) has been signed to star in the romantic comedy “It Had to Be You.” Steven Feder (“The Cottonwood”) is set to direct from his own screenplay about an engaged woman who falls in love with a man who also is about to be married.

Feder and his partner, Neil Kaplan, are producing under their Black Sheep Entertainment banner. Lensing is set for late January in Gotham.

Henstridge currently is shooting “Dog Park” with Janeane Garofalo and Luke Wilson.

Henstridge’s deal was brokered by Scott Lambert of William Morris Agency, along with her manager, Ted Schacter, and her attorney, John LaViolette.
