D.C. elite on board for ‘Amistad’ preem

Leave it to DreamWorks to pull out all the presidential stops.

The nascent studio has set up a mega-preem of Steven Spielberg’s slave ship salute “Amistad” tonight in Washington.

On the expected list are no less than President Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, a Supreme Court justice and several members of the Cabinet.

Spielberg and studio co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg will be there (though co-partner David Geffen couldn’t make the trip). Pic makes its L.A. bow Monday at the Academy.
