Universal Concerts has tapped Angie Diehl Jacobs as veep of marketing. In the newly created post, Jacobs will be responsible for overseeing the company’s domestic marketing operations.
Jacobs will also shepherd advertising, publicity and promotion efforts for the company’s flagship Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles.
“As a proven marketing expert, Angie brings substantial music and entertainment industry experience to the company,” Jay Marciano, prexy of Universal Concerts, told Daily Variety. Jacobs will report to Marciano.
Prior to Universal, Jacobs was director of marketing for the concerts division and amphitheater entertainment of Blockbuster/Pace Concerts, where she was responsible for highlighting the events at the Blockbuster Pavilion in Devore.
Jacobs also publicized Pace’s other regional road shows and created and implemented tie-ins with the company’s other business arms, such as Blockbuster Music and Video.
