Zuckerman inks 3 Arts deal

David Zuckerman, supervising producer of Fox’s mid-season animated series “King of the Hill,” has inked an exclusive overall development deal with 3 Arts Television, a joint venture between 3 Arts Entertainment, Sony and CBS.

The multiyear, high-six-figure deal is the first of its kind signed by 3 Arts TV, according to Jeff Wachtel, president of 3 Arts TV, which was formed in July.

In addition to “King of the Hill,” Zuckerman created and executive produced “The Last Frontier” for Fox, and he was executive story editor and co-producer for NBC’s “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Prior to his writing career, he was an executive at NBC and Warner Bros.

While 3 Arts TV is expected to sign a deal soon with Eyemark Entertainment to produce a weekly one-hour syndie drama for the CBS-owned stations, tentatively titled “Pensacola,” sources say Zuckerman is not attached to that project.
