Bennett Berman

Dr. Bennett Berman, a former TV writer who penned episodes for shows including “Your Show of Shows” and “Route 66,” died Nov. 29 in Arlington, Va., of complications following a series of strokes. He was 70.

At the time of his death, Berman was serving as a professor at Strayer College in Virginia.

Berman is survived by his daughter, novelist and playwright Cherie Bennett; two sons, Steven and Scott; four grandchildren; and longtime companion Lynn Brooks-Finn.
