Stephen Lee Price, visual effects supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic, died May 22 of pancreatic cancer. He was 34.
Price had worked at ILM since 1991, first on “Hook” and “Death Becomes Her,” then as a key animator on “Jurassic Park,” and later as visual effects supervisor on “Schindler’s List.” Most recently, he was supervising the visual effects on “Jumanji,” currently in production.
Before his tenure at ILM, Price worked at post-production houses in Chicago, Miami and L.A., on projects including “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Ghost.”
Price is survived by his wife, Patricia Blau, ILM’s exec in charge of production; his mother; and two brothers.
