Martin Cohen

Martin Cohen, theatrical company manager of many Broadway productions and of the long-running L.A. production of “The Phantom of the Opera,” died Feb. 17 of lung cancer at Hollywood Community Hospital. He was 69.

During his long and varied theatrical career, Cohen worked on close to 100 Broadway, Off Broadway and touring theatrical productions. Credits included “Miss Saigon,” “Les Miserables,” “Cats,” “Same Time, Next Year,” “Sleuth,” “God’s Favorite” and “Romantic Comedy.”

Originally from Camden, N.J., Cohen is survived by his brother, Albert, and a cousin. Donations are suggested to Broadway Cares and Equity Fights AIDS or the American Cancer Society.
