Second Channel exec ankles

The country’s privately owned Second Channel claimed its first casualty last week when the managing director of the Keshet franchise, Alex Giladi, resigned.

Giladi was wooed back to Israel from abroad two years ago to establish Keshet after a successful career as a VP at NBC Intl. in London.

Considered a prime mover in Israel’s experiment with pluralism in broadcasting, Giladi was criticized by many for offering enormous sums of money in order to lure TV personalities away from state-run Israel TV.
