Darker, more involving songs from the current “Dog Man Star” album (nude/Columbia) showed a marked progression from the pop material found on the debut.

Production: Promoted by Goldenvoice/Avalon. Reviewed March 2, 1995. London Suede has made a strong case for its future. The band showed at Hollywood's Legion Hall that it can overcome the loss of its original guitarist, an impairment that once appeared to cripple the quartet pegged less than two years ago as the musical second-coming destined to put the U.K. rock scene back into the world spotlight.
