A Novella Idea

Composer Bob Telson hasn’t been on Broadway since “The Gospel at Colonus” in 1988, and that’s too long, but he’ll be back soon. Telson has collaborated with director/choreographer Graciela Daniele on a musical adaptation of the Gabriel Garcia Marquez novella “Chronicle of a Death Foretold” for Lincoln Center Theater, which plans to put the show into the Cort beginning May 18, after the company’s run there of “The Heiress.” “Chronicle” was adapted by Daniele with James Lewis, and will feature lyrics and additional material by Michael John La Chiusa. The work was recently workshopped at Lincoln Center.
