Roberts commits to ‘Days’

Julia Roberts has agreed to do Caravan Pictures’ romantic adventure-comedy “6 Days, 7 Nights,” which Hollywood Pictures acquired for the company only a month ago, sources said.

The project, which Roger Birnbaum will produce with Wallis Nicita, has yet to get a director and hence, has no start date.

“6 Days, 7 Nights” is the story of a woman who abandons her boyfriend during their tropical island vacation after he refuses to marry her. She convinces a pilot with a dilapidated plane to take her back to Tahiti where she can board a flight to go back home. On the way, the plane hits a storm and crash-lands on one of the smaller islands where they have to tolerate each other until help comes.
