Atlas sets pair for Turner

Shrugging off the poor showing of its first feature “Angus,” Atlas Entertainment’s Dawn Steel and Chuck Roven announced start dates on two new pictures under Steel’s first-look deal with Turner Pictures, as well as an expansion by Atlas into music publishing and a record label overseen by Atlas’ third principal, Robert Cavallo.

Atlas is opening its second effort, “12 Monkeys,” through Universal on Dec. 27.

Steel and Roven say they expect to begin lensing April 1 on “Fallen,” a psychological thriller by Nick Kazan. An offer is out to Arnold Schwarzenegger to star.
