Alexander/Enright Launches Pic Unit

A new film division has been announced by TV longform company Alexander/Enright, headed by Jonathan Fernandez, who recently ankled his post as president of Roger Corman’s New Horizons homevideo label.

“Our goal is to produce two to four pictures a year,” a combination of studio and independent financing,” Fernandez said, adding that he has assembled foreign financing for features in the $2.5 million to $4.5 million range.

First project on the slate is “Henry Allgood Must Die,” a black comedy by Geof Miller that has been set up at Interscope.
