Jack Smith has joined ASI Market Research Inc., one of the largest TV research organizations in the world, as senior VP of new media research.
Smith, who will report to and work closely with Jerrold Brandt, ASI’s executive VP/general manager, will be responsible for developing research methods geared to such new media as interactive on-demand video and interactive TV.
Most recently, Smith implemented numerous audience research projects under the banner of his own consulting firm, Audience Lab Services, including GTE’s Cerritos test and Viacom’s Castro Valley test. Before that, he spent six years at MGM Television Group as senior VP of research and marketing.
Smith cited a number of reasons for joining ASI, including the company’s stature in the industry and its dedication to new media research.
