CBS scored its highest Tuesday movie rating in nearly a year with part two of “In the Best of Families: Marriage, Pride & Madness,” nabbing the web’s best results that night this season.
The Eye network topped ABC for only the second time this year, the previous win coming when the Alphabet web preempted two-thirds of its lineup for part two of the low-rated miniseries “JFK: Reckless Youth.”
“In the Best of Families” delivered a 17.3 rating, 26 share in Nielsen, the web’s best Tuesday movie output since the miniseries “Queen” last Feb. 16. CBS averaged a 17.0/25 for the night, to ABC’s 16.5/24.
Both “Rescue 911” (16.4/24) and “Full House” (16.1/23) enjoyed season-high ratings, while ABC also did well with its animated “Edith Ann” special (14.9/21 ).
Fox Broadcasting Co., meanwhile, saw the new Henry Winkler sitcom “Monty” (6. 8/10) lose 21% of its Nielsen constituency in its second airing after polling record Tuesday numbers for the weblet with its premiere.
