Trailer expert Joe Nimziki has been named senior VP of creative advertising at MGM/UA Distribution Co., where he will report to new executive marketing VP Gerry Rich, studio officials announced Wednesday.

Nimziki will handle all audiovisual advertising, especially creation of trailers, and TV and radio advertising for upcoming pix on both studio slates.
The 29-year-old Nimziki joins MGM/UA from the boutique entertainment ad shop Cimarron/Bacon/O’Brien, where he recently worked on campaigns for big tickets “In the Line of Fire,””Mrs. Doubtfire,””The Good Son” and “Demolition Man.”
As Columbia Pictures VP of creative advertising, Nimziki was credited with stylish work on the “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,””A River Runs Through It” and “A League of Their Own” campaigns.
