Showscan grows by $6 mil

Showscan Corp., which produces and distributes special format films and state-of-the-art projection equipment for simulator attractions and theaters around the world, has made $ 6 million worth of deals for theater attractions and/or licensed film rights to international venues.

The new film-based attractions, which are scheduled to open by fall, will be located in Denmark, Singapore and Germany.

In addition, the rights to Showscan’s library of films will be licensed by a venue in France. This brings the total number of Showscan simulator theaters purchased to 43 worldwide.

One of the new motion simulator attractions will be located in Nordsjaellands Sommerpark A/S, a new theme park located outside of Copenhagen, where a 36-seat motion simulator and dual projection system will be installed. The sale marks Showscan’s entry into the Scandinavian marketplace.
