NBC will premiere the half-hour gameshow “Caesars Challenge” as part of its daytime lineup June 21, with NBC sportscaster Ahmad Rashad as host.
The network acquired rights to the show from Stephen J. Cannell Prods. — which was working on a launch in syndication — at the NATPE convention in January.
It’s expected to replace the Bob Eubanks-hosted game “Family Secrets” and will premiere a week after the one-hour, Paramount-supplied talkshow series “John & Leeza.”
“Caesars” will be taped at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, with contestants vying for $ 25,000 in a word/puzzle game format.
The show was co-created by Rick Rosner and Cannell Studios president Michael Dubelko, with Rosner as exec producer.
