Beabe Hamilburg

Beabe Hamilburg, mother of literary agent Michael Hamilburg, died June 27 of pneumonia.

She was 87.

She was the widow of agent Mitchell J. Hamilburg, who founded the Hamilburg Agency in 1937.

Hamilburg, who lived her last 25 years in Rancho Mirage, worked as a seamstress in the wardrobe department of Warner Bros. during the 1930s.

In addition to her son, she is survived by two granddaughters and a brother.
