Fox Broadcasting Co. has elevated its two heads of comedy and drama development — respectively, Tom Nunan and Bob Greenblatt — to senior VP, both reporting to Fox Entertainment Group prez Sandy Grushow.
The promotions follow a development season in which Fox ordered more pilots ( 37) than any of the Big Three networks and expanded to a full seven nights a week of programming, adding eight new series totaling six hours.
Nunan has been VP in his area since joining the company in July 1991 and will continue to oversee development for all comedy series. Prior to Fox he spent two years as exec director of movies for TV at ABC and before that was a VP at Weintraub EntertainmentGroup.
Greenblatt started at Fox as director of drama development in 1989 and was promoted to VP two years later. Before Fox he worked as a creative exec at Lorimar Film Entertainment, involved in such movies as “Dangerous Liaisons” and “Next of Kin.”
