Thomas E. Dooley, has been crowned president of the Viacom Intl. interactive television division. Viacom also named Robert Meyers and Peter Miller veeps of corporate development in the division.
Dooley, who was senior VP, corporate development, will coordinate Viacom’s initiatives into interactive television and multimedia and devise strategies to exploit these technologies.
Since joining Viacom in 1980, Dooley has held a variety of divisional and corporate finance positions, including VP, finance, and treasurer.
Meyers, who will manage Viacom’s interactive television initiative at its state-of-the-art, two-way cable system in Castro Valley, had been responsible for coordinating and managing projects of Viacom Networks Group, a division of Viacom Intl., which comprises MTV Networks and Showtime Networks Inc.
In his new position, Miller will coordinate the interactive programming offered at the company’s Castro Valley location.
Previously, he was an independent multimedia technology consultant.
