CBS Entertainment exec VP Peter Tortorici has been named to a one-year term as president of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society.
Tortorici, who just completed a stint on the organization’s board, succeeds NBC Entertainment prez Warren Littlefield, who completed his term heading the HRTS on July 1 but will still preside over the group’s August newsmaker lunch event.
New board members, elected to three-year terms, are producer Diane English, Western Intl. Media’s Dennis Holt, CBS exec John Matoian, Warner Bros. exec Fran McConnell, Fox Entertainment Group prez Sandy Grushow and William Morris Agency TV head Bob Crestani.
The first of next season’s eight newsmaker luncheons, featuring the four network entertainment heads, is set for Sept. 14.
Continuing directors are Chris Albrecht, Thomas Carter, Richard Frank, Littlefield, Dennis Miller, George Nicholaw, Mark Pedowitz and Ruth Slawson. Alan Berger, Stephen J. Cannell, Marcy Carsey, Kay Koplovitz, Leslie Moonves and Art Stolnitz have all completed their terms.
