Famous taps Hart, Bedwell

Famous Music, the music publishing arm of Paramount, has restructured its Nashville division and tapped two new executives to helm operations.

Randy Hart, former director of publishing at Gary Morris Music, has been named VP Nashville for Famous Music. At Morris, Hart was associated with singles “The River” by Garth Brooks and “Too Busy Being in Love” by Doug Stone.

Chuck Bedwell, former VP of Nashville’s NEM Entertainment, will become director of talent acquisition in Nashville. NEM/Nashville had hits with “Heartland” by George Strait and “Queen of Memphis” by Confederate Railroad during Bedwell’s term.

Famous recently had a No. 1 record with Vince Gill’s “No Future in the Past.”
