Davis, Lane upped in EMI shuffle

EMI Records Group continued its upper-management revamp yesterday, naming Fred Davis executive VP and Ken Lane senior VP, promotion.

Appointments come in the wake of Charles Koppelman’s rise to chairman/CEO of EMI Records Group North America, the um-brella that combined EMI Records Group with units previously under the purview of Joe Smith, Capitol-EMI CEO, who will be leaving the company April 1 (Daily Variety, Jan. 7).

EMI Records Group has since shuffled its executive lineup in the wake of Koppelman’s appointment.
