Alan Arkin has left Creative Artists Agency and signed on with the William Morris Agency. Arkin’s acting credits include films “Wait Until Dark,””The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming,””The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter” and “The In-Laws.”
He will be repped by senior VP Jeff Hunter and Frank Frattaroli in New York and Brian Swardstrom and Lee Stollman on the West Coast.
Milton Berle, George Burns, Carol Burnett, Walter Matthau, Richard Pryor, Red Skelton and Jonathan Winters will be honored at the first Comedy Hall of Fame Awards, to tape Aug. 29 at the BevHilton Hotel for airing in November as an NBC special. George Schlatter, producer of the American Comedy Awards and NBC’s “Laugh-In” anniversary spec, is also behind this kudocast. The event will include birthday tributes to Bob Hope (90), Imogene Coca (85), Berle (85) and Skelton (80).
L.A. Laker James Worthy will make what “Star Trek: The Next Generation” exec producer Rick Berman calls “the tallest Klingon on record.” The 6-foot 9-inch hoopster will play a Klingon named Koral on the “Gambit Part II” episode, to air the week of Oct. 18.
