PBS and National Public Radio will team to broadcast Senate confirmation hearings on Supreme Court nominee Ruth Bader Ginsburg, beginning July 20. PBS will air gavel-to-gavel coverage from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET.

David Hasselhoff will host KCOP’s third annual “The Best of L.A.,” a two-hour special set to air Aug. 5. Hasselhoff stars in the syndicated series “Baywatch,” which airs locally on the United/Chris-Craft station.

Nick at Nite will kick off repeats of “The Partridge Family” Monday with a week of theme nights as well as special airings July 18 on sister network MTV, hosted by David Cassidy. The show, broadcast originally from 1970-74, will air regularly on Nick at 8 p.m. ET through what it is billing as “The Partridge Family Summer.”

Producer Danny Arnold has established the Danny Arnold Chair in Communications at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with dedication ceremonies held recently in Israel. Arnold’s credits include “Barney Miller,””That Girl” and “My World and Welcome to It.”

Adam Curry and Holly Robinson will host ABC’s “Taco Bell Presents: Battle of the Bands ’93,” airing July 29. The special is from Dick Clark Prods. and FCB Entertainment.

Baseball Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio will receive a lifetime achievement award at the second annual “Jim Thorpe Pro Sports Awards,” a television special airing Monday on ABC. The show will be broadcast from the Wiltern Theatre.
