That translates to a $ 12,708 average on 315 screens, besting the distributor’s previous topper “Hook.”

In addition, the Francis Coppola film soared in Scandinavia, getting off to a $ 184,238 three-day beginning on 20 screens in Finland, a $ 205,774 start on 25 screens in Norway, and a $ 161,740 weekend gross on 25 screens in Denmark.

Second weekend holdover business on “Dracula” continues strong, with a cumulative total of $ 3.15 million in its first 10 days in Italy; $ 436,173 in Switzerland; $ 682,465 in Taiwan; and $ 1.4 million in Belgium.
